Code of Conduct

nwmoon Education is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all students, parents, and teachers. By using our platform, attending lessons, or communicating with our staff, you agree to follow the rules below.

1. Respectful Behavior

All users must treat teachers, staff, and fellow students with respect. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, bullying, or abusive language
• Discriminatory comments (racial, religious, gender-based, etc.)
• Threatening, aggressive, or intimidating behavior
• Sexual or inappropriate communication of any kind

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of the account without refund.

2. Appropriate Communication

Students and parents agree to:

• Use polite and professional language
• Communicate lesson scheduling needs honestly
• Avoid spamming or over-messaging teachers/staff
• Use only approved communication channels

Students and teachers may not exchange personal contact information (phone numbers, social media, or private messaging apps) unless explicitly permitted by nwmoon.
Once nwmoon’s internal messaging system is available, all communication must take place inside our platform.

3. Lesson Environment

To ensure quality lessons, students must:

• Join lessons on time
• Have a stable internet connection
• Avoid background noise or distractions
• Use a suitable device (phone, tablet, or computer)

Parents/Guardians of minors must ensure:

• A safe, quiet learning environment
• Proper supervision when necessary
• That the child follows nwmoon’s behavior standards

4. Academic Honesty

Students must not:

• Cheat on placement tests or assignments
• Submit AI-generated work as their own without permission
• Use unauthorized tools during lessons

Teachers may report suspected dishonesty, and nwmoon may take disciplinary action if necessary.

5. Privacy & Safety

For everyone’s safety:

• Students may not record lessons without written permission.
• Screenshots, audio recordings, and lesson content may not be shared publicly.
• Teachers will never request personal information beyond what is required for learning.
• All lessons are audio-recorded by nwmoon for quality control, training, and safety.

Parents/Guardians have the right to:

• Request access to their child’s data
• Request deletion of their child’s data (with account closure)
• Report any safety concerns immediately

6. Use of Platform Materials

All nwmoon lessons, worksheets, videos, and materials are:

• Owned by nwmoon Education LLC
• Not to be copied, shared, or used outside our platform
• Not to be distributed to others (paid or unpaid)

Unauthorized use of materials may result in account termination and legal action.

7. Cancellations & Attendance

Students must follow the 8-hour cancellation rule:

• Cancel or reschedule at least 8 hours before the lesson
• Late cancellation or no-show → lesson is deducted

If a teacher cancels late:

• Student receives a free replacement lesson

Repeated late cancellations or no-shows by students may result in restricted scheduling or disciplinary action.

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following are grounds for immediate account termination:

• Sexual or inappropriate communication
• Harassment or abuse of teachers
• Sharing personal contact info to bypass nwmoon
• Attempting to move lessons off-platform
• Encouraging teachers to violate rules
• Misuse or unauthorized sharing of learning materials
• Fraudulent payment activity or chargebacks

9. Child Safety

For all students under 18:

• Parental consent is required at signup
• Parents must ensure safe lesson environments
• Teachers must follow strict child protection standards
• Students may not share photos, home addresses, or private details

10. Reporting Issues

If you encounter misconduct, technical issues, or safety concerns, contact:

All reports are taken seriously and handled confidentially.

11. Compliance

Violation of any part of this Code of Conduct may result in:

• Warnings
• Lesson restrictions
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account termination (with or without refund depending on circumstances)
